In this activity, kids will learn to use their descriptive skills to help others build a structure. This activity is great for developing social skills and learning to work collaboratively!
Top tip!Make this activity more challenging by getting kids to build in groups. But there's a catch –– once building begins, kids aren't allowed to speak to each other or check the original model!
About the activity
A grown up builds a simple model and hides it from view somewhere in the room.
One child from each pair goes to see how the model is built and returns to explain it to their partner.
The partner builds the model. The first player may not build but can go back and forth several times to check and remember details.
After five minutes, kids can compare their model to the original.
The grown up changes the model and the kids swap roles!
