This activity is just like ‘I Spy’ except – you guessed it – it’s based on hearing rather than sight! It’s great for developing kids’ observational skills and the best part? It’ll keep kids quiet as they listen out for the sounds around them!

Scientists believe that blue whales can hear each other’s whale song from hundreds of miles away.
About the activity
The first player thinks of a sound they can hear and reveals the first letter of the thing making the noise. For example, if you can hear a bird, you would say, “I hear with my little ear, something beginning with B…”. The other players have to guess what it is the first player is thinking of – simple! Each time the item is correctly identified, the players swap roles.
