Playing cards
To start the game, lay the cards face down on the floor or a flat surface. How many cards to use depends on the number of players and how long you want the game to last – just make sure there are at least two of each playing card in the game (i.e. two kings, two aces, two “2’s” etc).
Players take it in turns to turn over two cards in search of a pair. If the cards they choose do not match, the cards are turned back over and the next player has their go. If a player turns over two matching cards (e.g. two jacks, two “6’s”, two “9’s”) they keep the cards and go again – it remains their turn until they fail to find a matching pair.
Whichever player has the most cards at the end of the game wins!
If you are playing with a full deck of cards, the pairs of cards should match in both number and colour – hearts with diamonds, clubs with spades.
