A ball
In open outdoor space, get two kids to stand approximately 10m apart (or a suitable distance for them to throw and catch a ball). A third child (the ‘piggy’) stands in the middle, at an equal distance from the other two players.
The kids on the outside must throw the ball back and forth to each other, while the ‘piggy in the middle’ tries to intercept their passes. If the ball is dropped, any of the three players can run and retrieve it!
If the middle player succeeds in catching/retrieving the ball, the player who made the last throw becomes the ‘piggy’. Let the kids play as long as they wish…they’re sure to have heaps of fun!
