About the activity
Take your child/children outdoors to an area where they can search for and pick different flowers –– perhaps local woodland, a meadow or simply your garden. Show them how to cut the flowers on the stem, and bunch and tie them together using string or ribbon. You could get them to think about what kinds of flowers, grasses, leaves etc would look nice together in a bouquet. Once finished, they could display their pretty posy in a vase in the kitchen, or in their bedroom.
