Top tip!
If you find making holes in the flower stems too tricky, tape them to a ribbon to make a crown.
Steps
1
Young children should be assisted with this activity. Head outside and pick six to ten flowers with long stems (make sure you have permission to pick the flowers first!). Lay the flowers out in a line in front of you and use scissors to cut the stems so they are the same length. Pick one up and use a fingernail to make a vertical hole in the stem.
2
Thread a different flower stem through the hole and gently pull it until the head of the new flower touches the first stem.
3
Keep threading the flowers until you have a chain long enough to make a crown around your head. Fix the ends together with a loose knot or a small piece of string or ribbon.
