Chairs (enough for all but one of the children playing)
Music player
Find a large indoor space, or you could play outside with some garden furniture. Arrange the chairs in a circle so that they are facing outwards.
You’ll need one person to be in charge of starting and stopping the music.
Encourage the children to walk around the chairs as the music starts. Each time you stop the music, they have to sit on a chair as quickly as they can.
There are enough chairs for all but one of the children, so there’ll be one player left standing. The player that is left standing is out of the game.
Take one more chair away from the circle and start the music again. The game continues until there is only one player left – the winner!
