Top tip!
Be clever when picking the bingo items! Tailor them to your destination and throw in a few rogue ones that are harder to spot.
About the activity
Draw a five-by-five grid for each person playing travel bingo. You will need at least 25 different items which could include traffic lights, police cars, trees and stop signs. Fill out each grid randomly, putting one of the items you’ve listed in each box so that you don’t end up with more than one winner. During your journey, cross off each item as you see it. To make the game last longer, ask kids to draw the item listed instead of crossing the word out. The first person to get five items diagonally or in a row wins!
