Wondering how to make slime with a marble effect? Make slime in three different colours and plait or twist them together, then mix in some glitter!
Equipment needed
- 100 ml of PVA glue
- Bowl
-
½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
- Food colouring
- 1 tsp contact lens (saline) solution (add more as needed)
- Spoon
Steps
1
Tip 100 ml of PVA glue into a bowl, add the bicarbonate of soda and mix them together.
2
If you wish to make coloured slime (rather than white slime), add a small amount of food colouring and mix in – start with a small amount and add more if needed. Note: the food colouring will stain your hands when you work the slime, so be careful!
3
Next, add the contact lens solution and mix it with a spoon until its consistency begins to change, becoming stringy. Start to knead the slime with your hands - at first it will be sticky, but after working it for a while it will become harder and elastic, and only stick to itself.
4
If you find your slime is too sticky, add a little more contact lens solution. Be sure to only add small amounts at a time, as too much solution will make it lose its elasticity and snap.
