Top tip!
When describing the animal, try thinking about the things which make the animal unique – which may not necessarily relate to looks. It could be habitat (such as ‘lives on the ice’ for a polar bear), or behaviour (such as ‘comes out at night’ for a bat).
About the activity
The first player starts by thinking of an animal. They then describe what the animal looks like without revealing what it’s called. For an elephant, they may say ‘big and grey with a long trunk’, or ‘long and slithering’ for a snake. Or why not make the game a little trickier by giving one‐word clues to begin with? The others have to guess which animal is being described and the first person to guess correctly takes their turn.
