Kids will need to get their best impersonating hats on for this activity! This is all about having self-awareness and narrating what they can see around them as though starring in their very own documentary – just like their TV heroes Steve Backshall or David Attenborough!
7 parents favourited this activity!
Fun fact!
David Attenborough’s favourite animal is the leafy seadragon!
About the activity
Decide on the amount of players and everyone’s roles. One player might want to act as narrator while others pretend to be animals in a wildlife documentary.
Narrating is all about setting the scene for those who aren’t there. The best way to do this is to describe all of your senses; what can you hear, smell, see, touch and taste?
Encourage kids to refer to people as their characters rather than by name, for example, “The mother bear prepares food for her cubs”, could describe you cooking them lunch!
