About the activity
This is an activity that everyone can get in involved in –– the whole family, your child/children and their friends, and even their families, too! Whoever is taking part, get them together for an afternoon of sports and games in the garden or local park. It’s great to include a variety of ‘events’ that challenge different skills and abilities – such as a running race, a throwing event, a jumping game, gymnastics routine etc. The games could be enjoyed in the style of a tournament, with someone keeping track of scores and announcing an overall winner. The children could also make posters and medals to add to the fun and get into the Olympic spirit!
