Want to make the game harder? Introduce numerical rules. For example, ‘snap’ can be called when two cards are placed on top of each other that add up to ten, or when two consecutive odd cards are placed down.
About the activity
Deal all the cards equally between the players face-down. The person to the left of the dealer lays the first card down, picture-side up. Take it turns to put cards on top of one another.
When two cards with the same number or symbol are placed on top of each other, the first person to shout, “Snap!”, and place their hand over the pile of cards wins and get to take the cards that have already been laid down. Place the won cards at the bottom of your pile. Anyone who runs out of cards is eliminated. The person with all the cards wins.
